Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahim is the first verse of the Quran. Therefore, emphasising the importance this verse alone signifies. 

Translation: “In the name of God, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

The design leads the eyes over the piece starting at the bottom and finishing at the top with the word Allah. The calligraphy is skilfully written, ensuring the uniformity of the shape is formed in the centre of the piece with the two ḥā’’s.

Aadil Abedi

Aadil Abedi is an acclaimed London-based artist and designer. Contemporary Arabic and Indian influences, alongside rich and vibrant colours, characterise his work. Inspired by Arabic calligraphy and abstract designs, he creates original artwork with a contemporary effect, giving an ancient tradition a modern twist.
